Synopsis:

Holly Edgemont used to love celebrating Christmas, that is, until her whole world was turned upside down by an unexpected divorce from her college sweetheart Brant. This year, not only is she divorced, but the kids are going out of state with her ex Brant, leaving her utterly alone. Holly's party-girl friend Sloane tries to break her out of her frump by dragging her along to holiday parties where Holly meets cute and available Chris. But when Holly realizes that she still has feelings for Brant, she has a decision to make: Learn to trust her long time love who broke her heart, or move on for good.

Brant Edgemont is a divorced father of three, and hopelessly in love with his ex-wife, Holly. He made the biggest mistake of his life walking out two years ago. Despite his pleas to reconnect, Holly still resists him. Is it too late to rekindle their love? Or will Holly move on for good, leaving Brant himself heartbroken and alone?

Down To You is not just a romantic love story. It is a story of familial love, friendship, betrayal, redemption, and the magic that can happen at Christmas time when friends and family join together.

Excerpt:

"Holly despised the thought of celebrating Christmas this year. Alone.
“Alone?!.... What do you mean alone?! You have me!” replied her exasperated friend Sloane over her steaming mug of hazelnut macchiato. Holly raised her eyebrow in contempt as she prepared to listen to her oldest friend’s rebuttal.
“Look Holl… I know you hate this time of year now because of “What’s-his-name” but seriously, that was two years ago! Besides, with both of us being single, we can hit some of the big parties this year!”
“Uh, aren’t you forgetting something, Sloane?” asked Holly with a perturbed look on her face. Confusion was painted across Sloane’s face.
“Sloane… The kids. I can’t go out partying with you when I have an eight year old, a seven year old and a four year old running around,” Holly calmly reminded her wild and carefree friend. Suddenly, a smirk spread across Sloane’s face.
“I do believe you are the one who is being forgetful, my friend…” said Sloane with a raised eyebrow, intent upon keeping her already flustered friend guessing.
“What are you talking about?” asked Holly, confusion clear in her voice.
“Don’t you remember that you told Brant-“
Holly held up her hand at the sound of his name at which Sloane used one of the agreed upon nicknames for her friend’s ex-husband in conversation.
“Sorry, uh, He-Who’s-Name-Should-Never-Be-Spoken-Aloud…”
“Thank you…”
“Anyway, you promised Mr. Fancy Pants that he could take the kids to see his parents in Colorado for Christmas this year.”
Holly looked dumbfounded. Sloane’s declaration had hit her like an oncoming train. She had completely forgotten about that entire conversation she had with Brant about the upcoming Christmas holiday.
“Shit!”
“No, it’s brilliant!”
“Sloane, I want to spend Christmas with the kids!”
“You never get a break. This is the perfect opportunity.”
“I should never make decisions when I’ve consumed three glasses of carbermet sauvignon…” Holly relished, looking down at her now cold stack of pancakes. Sloane smirked at her.
“Girl, that is when I make my best decisions!”
“Be serious!’
“I totally am… Now you are free to party hearty with yours truly and there are a ton of parties that week… you might even meet someone.” Sloane said as she winked at Holly. "

Customers' Reviews:

"Down to You is a sweet carol with a Christmas time setting about a divorced couple struggling with heavy emotions during the holiday season. Reflecting on the past and searching for a future, Holly and Brant find what they are looking for is already in their hearts. It is a touching story of hope, second chances and the endurance of true love."

"WOW!!! This book was AMAZING!! I finished it in about 4.5 hours and I never do that!! I was given an ARC copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
Down To You was beautifully written and truly came from the heart. True love, real love is not always easy to find. This is a story of two people although divorced, who really, truly love each other, they just weren't very good at communicating with each other and when the going got tough Brant got going..
It's almost Christmas and Holly realizes that the kids are going with Brant and she will be home alone.. Once Brant picks up the kids it reminds him of what he's known since the day he walked away; his family is incomplete. Will Brant and Holly be able to open the lines of communication and talk out their problems or will Holly decide to move on once and for all? You will have to read the story to find out! I really enjoyed this story and highly recommend it!"
